Overview
This exclusive class offers the opportunity for Ohio University students to work side-by-side with a notable music producer, allowing them to serve in an apprenticeship role as a team during recording and mixing sessions.
Based in Chicago's Electrical Audio studio, Steve Albini is a distinguished engineer, mixer, and studio owner. Passionate about analogue recordings and capturing authentic ambience, Albini emphasizes "live in the studio" sessions and meticulous microphone placement. With an impressive portfolio spanning over 1500+ albums, he has collaborated with iconic artists like Nirvana, Pixies, Foo Fighters, The Jesus Lizard, and many more. He's also the lead guitarist and vocalist for the grunge band, Shellac.
This program is managed by the Scripps College of Communication and details about upcoming iterations can be found: http://j.bulbulogluhelva.com/scripps-college/study-away/master-class-series-chicago
